It's so funny how you can feel so fat, so uncomfortable in your own skin, and 4 years later look back and think, DAMN I LOOKED GOOD.

The entire night I distinctly remember wrestling with my Spanx, which were SUPER tight, and the tight shirt, and feeling like my boobs were in my chin, pulling the back of my bra down, and my belly looking 9 months pregnant.

Why did I pick myself apart? Why wasn't I happy?

With the years gone by comes clarity.

I am happy now. Still have these jeans and top and hope to be able to rock them again like I did so long ago when I thought I was sooooo fat.

It's mind over matter. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. When you think your size is the problem, you're not seeing something else. So stop looking there, and look inside, there you will find truth.

Today was one of the most empowering and monumentous days in my life. Today, I gave my resignation to a job that just 6 months ago I cried to find out I had been recruited for. The change? Why would I quit an amazing corporate job? Because being an entrepreneur is in my DNA, it's who I am, and I'm following my true path. I want to build, grow, teach, inspire and leave my own legacy.

Thank you to everyone who has ever believed in me, it's now time I believe in myself.

I feel like I've been through the storm and back, and I finally feel on top of the world...like anything is possible. I 1000% give credit to all the readers who send me letters, comments, tweets and facebook love, because it is honestly because of YOU (and about 89 hours of chat therapy with my BFF, thank you Mandy) that I finally am realizing.... I. Am. Ready..... or maybe it's the sun's rare appearance?! *laughing* Or maybe it's the amazing cardi Lindsey sent me to try on??! :)

I'm finding that I wear less jewelry nowadays, which is kinda crazy since I was never seen without a big necklace or bracelet or huge ring, but lately, I don't know?? Hello hello dolls,
I'm gearing up for my birthday bash tomorrow night, and I'm setting out to prove that 31 is the new 21! I'm so excited to get to see all my closest friends and am so happy they will be coming out. In an effort to save some dough, we are doing it high school style. Well, high school with the martini bar :).

Walking through the hall at Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel - one of the hotels under the Pollin Hotel Group - of which I am the Marketing Manager for.

So, the best perks of my job? Events, meeting new friends and making big things happen.
This particular night I got to hang with Jonathan Chia of FUZE IT Worldwide. One of my hotels, Aloft Portland (just named the top trendiest hotel in the WORLD by Tripadvisor - HUGE), was the base of operations for the production team.

On a side note, I miss my longer hair! :( Really, why must I be so back and forth about my hair? I should just buy wigs and be done with it - wonder if Kim Z. from RHOA carries short brown bobs?? *joking*

On another side note, so thankful for the weekend. I have a few HUGE projects in the works and I'm definitely 90% crazy for even trying to attempt...but I believe. I believe in something bigger and I am NOT done trying to inspire EVERY woman I come in contact with to embrace and love her body. I've been in the game for a while, and I'm trying a few new tricks...I'll keep you posted ;).

I'm sooooo ready for summer. God make the rain go away! For those NOT living in the Northwest, it's been winter for ohhhhh I don't know - like a YEAR (which is why this is an inside shoot)! So, while browsing the fashions online at one of my favorite online retailers for plus size fashion - Missphit - I fell in LOVE with this shrug, made me wish more for summer.

I've know the owner of Missphit since 2006, and they do most of their business wholesale, but they do offer retail on their website, which I think most of my readers don't know. The thing that makes Missphit so special is the fit and quality. They KNOW the curvy body and the KNOW what's on trend.
