I never had the time honored tradition of going through my mom's jewelry box and sneaking off with her favorite pearls like I see in the movies. 

When Laguna Pearl reached out inquiring if I'd like to review some of their items, I wasn't too excited at first, after all I didn't have that reminiscing moment that made pearls so special to some little girls. But, I knew that it was worth trying them out to see what the fuss was all about and am I glad I did. 

In fact, it was only after I held them and put them around my neck that I realized how special these were. I can't explain the difference as to why it felt so much better to wear real pearls and not my go-to extremely fake "fashion" pearls ;). Maybe it's because I'm a Pisces, or maybe it's because I never tried real pearls or maybe it's just a change in my own energy about jewelry, but no matter which reason I'm grateful I tried because I now have my own tradition.

It's so easy to convince ourselves that the nice things in life aren't worth the money and we don't need to spend our money on them, but every once in a while it's nice to buck that tradition.
