Avenue Dressing Room Try On Haul

Monday, June 29, 2015

Hey guys! I popped into Avenue in Brooklyn while in New York City last week and wanted to show you a try on haul real quick. As their Brand Ambassador, which is purely out of love for the brand and I receive no compensation (LOL - truth!), I love when I actually get to get into a brick-and-mortar Avenue store! Why do I love Avenue? Because I love that no matter what, I can find pieces I love and actually need, and I stress the NEED part.

Since they figured out the Butter Denim, I actually prefer all my pants and shorts from them at the moment. The butter denim is light, stretchy but most important holds it's shape and is durable. I've had the same butter denim jeans for over a year now, and they still have no pilling in between the legs and look amazing and fit perfect. So, if it says butter - I'm DOWN!

Here are the items I tried on while rushing through!

This dress was a tough one because if the center seam was actually lined in white (one around my belly) and not black like the one I am wearing, I think I would have liked it better. For me, I didn't like the neckline, but I have to say - it was lined, sturdy and great length for those looking for a dress like this.

Can't go wrong with BUTTER baby! These shorts are great and were true to size - I am wearing a 26 but am definitely in between and am a 26/28. I LOVE the cut, feel and length of these and want them in every color possible.

This dress was gorgeous and if it wasn't for my weird nit-pickiness about necklines, I would have totally taken this home - the weird in the middle scoop just makes me feel older for some reason. I need an obvious V neck or a bardot neck of some sort, but this dress in general was absolutely fantastic! The crochet back was perfection and the length was perfect, as shown on the model in fact.

You know I feel in love with this dress the moment I saw it right?! It's absolutely everything I love in a dress. High low hem, light flowy fabric that doesn't cling, black/white pattern making it super chic and easily go with any gold/silver I have (was gold this day). The only crazy thing, and only noticed this after looking for a picture, was how long it is on the model??? I'm 5'8" and this dress does not got that low on me and unless I'm wearing it two sizes too small, I have no idea why it's shown as being so much longer. For me - that's a good thing - but in case you want a longer dress - this is not it... this is definitely a midi-dress.

Per usual goofing off :).

@CoolGalAllie rocking the Avenue T!

Then we headed to a lunch with one of my fav plus models, Nicole Zepeda.

And of course my snapchat obsession meets my aviator obession :).

MIGHT need snapchat intervention, you let me know. "thejessicakane"
