Launch Party for Nu Way Beauty

Hello dolls! Sooooooo glad it's Friday, had such a busy week that I'm looking forward to relaxing, some pool time, some girl time, some martini time.....errrrrr ;).

As promised, here are the pictures from the other night from my video post. I was invited to a private launch party/birthday party for Luba Winters and her new line Nu Way Beauty. It was such a fun group of people, I love hanging out with my Russian friends, I think their language will rub off on me eventually, dah? Luba really threw a party, with speakers, singing, seafood buffet, live jazz/dj and much more. Thank you so much Luba for inviting me and I can NOT wait to try out Nu Way Beauty.

About the dress....I have to tell you, I have NEVER felt so beautiful, even with humidity flattened hair! :) This dress is the best dress I've EVER worn on my body and I really just want to get a pattern made from it and make it in every color/fabric known to man. LOVE LOVE. K, you know I love it. LOLs

a night with the queens

Momma got to play! What better place to dance my ass off and pretend I'm 25 again than my favorite drag queen gay bar, Embers?! Such a great night and fun time to party. I think I lasted 2 songs before I need a pitcher of water, hahahahhahah! I enjoyed the night with one of my besties, Carrie, which included a hilarious drag show from Portland's finest queens, then pictures in the bathroom, then got to see my friend Rachel (heeyyyyyyy!) and ended the night with a photoshoot in the parking lot (classic).

This shot was AFTER sweaty dancing and hair flipping craziness (see video here) and my makeup still looked great! woot!

Thanks sooooo much to Torrid for outfitting me in their finest! Top, handbag and denim gifted by Torrid and I have to say, it's so nice to have your denim stay in place after all that dancing! :)

Review | Torrid Denim gets an A+

So, I think my life just changed a bit. You know I swear by jeggings, I love their comfy comfiness, and swore off all denim unless it said jegging on the label. Life's too short to be uncomfortable....butttttt thennnnnn, my friends at Torrid sent me some denim to try out. I was so flattered but honestly petrified, all I could think about was a horrid experience I had probably a year ago after I gained about 40lbs from my beautiful precious miracle Kyle *eehh huummm* LOL, and went from a size 24 to a 28 (well my bumm did, my top is like a 22/24) and needed some jeans.

Went in there all excited, picked up a few pairs, dashed off to the dressing room and cried my eyes out when the size 28 wouldn't even go over my thighs. Honestly, devastated and damaged. I knew I gained weight, but what the frick? It was like stuffing an elephant in a sausage casing - BHWAHHAAHAHHA - dude, that's funny right there!!!! No really, it was. :( I was convinced my ass was too big to shop at Torrid denim now and would only go to Lane Bryant or Old Navy.

So fast forward to this new package of denim....opened the box, admired their beautifulness of large stitching and dark perfect denim, but made my friend Katie try them on first, she's a size 20/22, I figured I'd see how they were on her first! She actually had a lot of room left, so I thought what the hell, tried them on and they actually got over my thighs AND buttoned comfortably! I couldn't believe it and was all excited so I tried the other pair on and again, success?!!! Honestly, Torrid redeemed themselves to this big girl with a big booty and I am delighted to show you girls. Plus, I never buy my denim longer so I can wear heels/wedges, but these were and I was so excited to wear my heels. I swear I felt 8ft tall!

So my review is A+, good job Torrid. These Source of Wisdom jeans fit great all day, didn't stretch and get weird. Your new slogan "We Swear By The Fit" is right on and I want to thank you for making the changes to get it right. The sizing is on point now and I think I'm converted :). Plus, can't wait to show you the other pair!

OMG! I totally forgot about these photos Katie and I took on a shopping trip to Lane Bryant, back when I was blonde :).  These were left overs from the bra post I did, The Support Your Boobies Project. These are just fun and now I'm wishing I had some video to go with it since everywhere Katie and I go we're dying laughing about something utterly ridiculous. :)

And a little side note, I LOVE elephants, have little statues in my office and such and when I found that little ring, I was DYING! So CUTE!! And, thinking now I should have bought those darn aviators! :(

I am a girl that will stop everything, even in my crazy busy schedule, to eat on the river with two of my favorite girls ever. They are my favorite because they are businesswomen, gorgeous, curvy and have the kindest hearts. Oh, and they have sexy Russian accents. :) hhehhe And, well the Columbia River is so gorgeous in the summer! This is the river that divides Oregon and Washington, we were on the WA side.

We had lunch at a hotspot called McMennamins and enjoyed some fresh salads, you know, on my "healthy" day. :)

Every woman needs a girls night out, I really think it's been almost a year since I had a proper night out, you know the one where you spend the entire day before planning and shopping likes it's the prom all over again? LOL!

Honestly, such a great night and break from my reality of work, mommy and wifey life. I enjoyed a few extra Goose Lemondrops *wink* at my favorite martini bar in Portland, Vault *thanks Kenny for always treating my girls like VIP*. Kenny is the kindest and coolest owner ever. And, thanks to my girl Brit for being my DD, even though true to old lady style I was sober with headache by 11pm. BAhahhahahah! Honestly, Jessica!

Thank goodness Tiffany, I had something fun to wear!! My girl Tiffany of www.onthefatwalk.blogspot.com hooked me UP with this dress! Thank you SO much Tiffany, your kindness was so unexpected and so much appreciated! I owe you girl. She sent me a fabulous Pure Energy dress from Target!
